Central Park or Banabitan is situated in Bidhannagar (Saltlake) is the second largest open field in the city of Kolkata after the Maidan. This orchard houses a good number of flora fauna varities, becomes very popular these days. Mainly semi dense trees and one big lake has made the place suitable for good numbers birds to visit the garden and many of them are habitant of this place. Personally I visit the place two threetimes and i have found good number of common birds - which are generally seen in kolkata. Birding in winter is perfect for this place.
