Author: Sukumar Jana
manglajodi
“Manglajodi” – A part of Chilka wetland (reachable from Balugaon, Orissa) is a heaven for bird watchers and where you can learn any thing what you have not learnt earlier. “Madhu” – a very rich man can share his richness to teach you a lesson what you have not learnt earlier. I am very proud of “Madhu”-who is really a “ratna” in terms of humanity and will power. If any body says any thing about Conservation we can easily put an example of – “Madhu” An ideal model, an ideal teacher.

Madhu never gone to a school, even he had never read a book in early age. This is a story of convertion of an illeterate Potcher to a conservation practioner. Madhu can’t read even he can’t write his name comfortably but he can uttered 1000 scientific name 1000 species’ 1000 habitat 1000 neck name at a glance.

He is not having a Swater or a Chappal, he is not having any money for Milk & Butter but he is having - “a book of Indian Birds” and a “binox’.

A Very very poor man ignored his profession (Poaching) and sacrificed his bread only to save …………. “Bird” - “Nature” – even to “us”.
