After reaching NJP - when you are comfortably sitting by a side window of a Sumo/Safari and sensing every bits of tranquility and the freshness of the air all around – it always comes to mind – yes you are on the way to green heaven;

After reaching Namchi (A three and half hours journey from NJP) – we took a direct cab to Kewzing (10 km from Ravangla) directly. It costs us eight hundred bucks. This is not the first time we are in south sikkim – but the reason for coming back here again to spend some few days in some serene destination around south sikkim and of course birding. We stayed at Kewzing for four days and birded around Kewzing, Dalling Monastery, Kewzing Monastery, Mangbru Monastery, Ralong and Damthang forest. We can’t cover Mainem Sanctuary due to time constraint as well as foul weather condition.

Well, this is not the right destination for common tourists; it may be inconvenient for few - who are not well familiarized with short trekking, exploring unknown routes in villages, trekking through dense forests; I will personally recommend those adventourous minded people - who has the passion for photography, birding and know bhutia cultures.
