After returning from evergreen Sultalekhola – we stopped at NJP before come back to known concrete jungle. It was May that time. In an early morning we planned to visit Sukna forest – which is a part of Green Mahananda Sanctuary – most untouched forest I think. We took an auto – rishkaw and within 45 minutes (8-10 km roughly) we reached after passing long green trees, thick forest of Sukna. Madhuban Park – is well maintained by the Army people – the spot was nice – it was touching the forest trail of Sukna Forest.
Mostly we find many butterflies of different colors and also birds… the exiciting thing I see – a big Indian Pied Hornbill – was flying out towards Forest .. a brilliant look; Earlier I read about Mahananda – and find its name; But in my front – I never expect it .
