| Hi Friends!!
Yesterday i did a 3 hours birding at Nalban Bheri and Goltala Bheri. Trip was very interesting. I was happy to see good numbers of migratory birds still playing in the water.....it seems the count has incresed since i am watching the trend from December. Gadwals are the majority there. Nearly 100+ i saw. Also i find 20+ pintails but no lesser whistling even at long distance - i could not find them. I am not sure whether they have started return migration from here. One interesting thing i saw - 2 pair of Eurasian Wigeons. I noticed - yellow wagtails and white wagtails were missing. Here is the list of birds - i watched there: 1. Clamarous reed warbler 2. Plain prinia 3. Brown shrike 4. Grey heron (2 / 3 only) 5. Little Egret 6. Yellow Bittern 7. Scally bellied munia (gooo numbers) 8. Gadwal 9. Northern Pintail 10. Common moorhen 11. Eurasian Wigeons 12. Swino snipe and other birds like Drongo, pied myna, large billed crow etc. Thanks, Happy birding Amit | |
